General Rules

1. Staff eligible to compete must be members of the organisations listed here and be based at the Teddington site: LGC, BMT, NPL, SERCo Services, NWML, Contract Cleaners, Contract Security and Contract Computer Servicing.

2. In events that REQUIRE women to play, female partners/relatives are allowed to take part ONLY IF NO LADIES FROM THE DIVISION WISH TO PLAY. If a lady member of staff is a relative of a member of a different team, she may only play in an event for her relative's team when her own team does not enter a side in that event. Uniquely, partners are allowed to take part in the Indoor Games competition.

3. Staff transferring from one team to another during a Stanton Trophy season (June to May) have the choice of continuing to play for their original team for the remainder of that season or to play for their new team from the date of transfer.

4. It is not permissible to play for more than one team in the same event.

5. When staff leave (except on retirement) they can no longer participate in the Stanton Trophy Competition, other than in an event which started before they left and in which they have taken part. Uniquely, staff that retire may continue to play in all the events.

6. The minimum entry for an event to take place is four.

7. To score points, a team must compete in an event, not just enter.

8. In cases of dispute the decision of the Stanton Trophy Committee will be final.
