Bowls at NPL Sports Club

NPLSC Bowls Section is, open to the general public. Both Ladies and Men's sections are independently managed by their own committee's under the umbrella of the NPLSC.

Ladies

All fixtures are friendlies with the occasional mixed. Members enter competitions of both MCWBA and EWBA.

Annual Subscriptions: £80.00 Plus NPLSC Social Membership

Match Fees: £2 including food.

Men's

There are interclub fixtures, friendly and leagues, with at least one game at the weekends. Members enter EBA, MCBA, RB&DBA and TVBA competitions. The section also plays in the respective leagues of the two latter associations.

Subscriptions: £62.50 Plus NPLSC Social Membership

Match Fees: £3.50 midweek and £4.50 weekends, including food.

NPL Monday Afternoon Triples League (14:30 - 17:15)

This consists of 10 teams from local clubs and one each from NPLSC Men's and Ladies sections. This is the fourth season of this very popular competition which is mainly for bowlers who do not normally experience the dizzy heights of serious match-play.

Fees: £3.00 per Triple, including tea, cakes and biscuits, and participation in a raffle for bottles of wine.

Guests

A total of 6 visits are permitted at £1 per visit, after which, further visits require full membership.

Dress Etiquette

At all times flat soled brown, grey or white shoes, and white above the waist.

Weekdays, men grey trousers, ladies navy blue skirts. For EWBA and MCWBA, grey skirts.

Weekends, men white trousers and white socks, ladies white skirts and tights.
